Piet Boshoff has been involved with publications and graphic design for more than 28 years and has been the publisher and/or editor of more than 180 publications. He initially qualified as a Wood- and Metalwork teacher at the Paarl Teachers College. Following a successful career as a high school teacher he joined the local education department’s media production unit as a producer. He was later promoted to Head of Production and eventually Head. Over a period of more than 14 years at Edumedia he gained first hand experience of all aspects of media production, support and distribution. While at Edumedia he obtained a B.A degree from the University of Stellenbosch and a B.Ed. degree from the University of Cape Town. After leaving the education department in 1997 he set himself up as a freelance graphic designer. In the past he also lectured part time in Graphic Design, Video Production, Photography and Website design. Jill Mains joined the studio in October 2000 as an Apprentice after following a Media Studies course for two years. Her particular interests are web design and manipulating photographic images. When the studio moved from Cape Town to Malmesbury in April 2001, she was unable to relocate.

Allan Coker joined in January 2001 as an Apprentice after completing his first year of Media Studies. He is an able illustrator who aims to work in the film and television industry one day. Allan left in August 2001 to follow a course at UCT.
